Boot your laptop with this boot disk, and tell us whether the external CD drive is recognized. You can also insert your W95 install disk into the drive, and type these commands to test the CD drive:
e:
cd \win95
dir

Please let us know whether you get any error messages. With that information, we'll be able to guide you through the W95 installation procedure.
