This is on a computer that I just inherited from a family member and had just started
to load my software. I do not care if I lose any saved info, but I did/am having
trouble reinstalling all to the drivers for the hardware. The reason I started this
is because I needed to install a network card on the desktop but could not find one
compatible with win95. I have a win98 here from an unused gateway laptop that I
did try to upgrade the desktop with (should be ok since the gateway is out of commision)
but it would not let me upgrade. It was suggested that I uninstall win 95 then try
to install the win98, but of course I can not find the unistall info on the hard
drive, control panel, cd, nor the boot floppy. Which is when I thought if I reinstalled
the 95 it would put the uninstall info back on so that I could then use it, which
it has not. I do not really have the moola to go buy a new Win program and am not
sure it would even upgrade now. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.
Thank you
