After months of being afflicted with CoolSearch and other problems related to this Trojan (including a system slow-down and porn sites being deposited into Favorites and History), this is the ONLY fix that has worked for me. Blocking/restricting CoolSearch and setting your homepage options back to what you want them to be are temporary solutions only, unless you're astronomically lucky. The Trojan associated with CoolSearch is extremely widespread, infecting all sorts of generally ignored parts of your system. The download at the URL I listed above was designed for the sole purpose of eliminating this Trojan. Good luck.
