You don't need the password. All you need to do is remove the CMOS battery for at least 30 minutes. That'll clear the CMOS and remove the password. The BIOS will be reset to default settings. That's not a problem, unless major hardware changes were made. Plus, HP's are easy to get into, and the battery's held in with a clip. It looks like a large watch battery, a bit smaller than a quarter. It's on the motherboard in plain site, when you look in the case. An HP case doesn't even need a screwdriver to get into. BE CAREFUL about static electricity though. Make sure you ground yourself or touch some metal before touching anything. It doesn't take much to fry the components.
