I had the same "about:blank" homepage problem, plus, I had a new toolbar on my browser
that I didn't put there, there was no uninstall for it, and no program folder for
it. It looked kind of like the google toolbar, except it said "commander" on it.
I ran AdAware, and it found a home page redirect registry key, but everytime I deleted
it, it just came back. I downloaded and ran cwsshredder, but that didn't help. Then
I read the post above by David D., and followed his advice, (except the part about
running cwsshredder, because I knew that didn't work) and found the file. It was
in c:\windows\system32\ and it was called ietb.dll, and you couldn't just delete
it, it wouldn't let you, but I was able to use the KillBox program to get rid of
it. So FYI, if you have ietb.dll on you computer, get KillBox, and get rid of it.
