2 items that should be installed are DCOM95 and...
windows installer 2.0. Both links can be found on a Google search. Note. Installer
2.0 has variations, make sure you use the 95 (9X) version.
p.s. installing 5.0 before 4.0 sp2 will deny you an active desktop.
