hi i think i may know what the problem is. the Primary IDE cable on you motherboard may be set to secondary rather than primary, or the IDE cables are facing the wrong way they are supposed to be red to red. i had this problem in college and somebody put the primary IDE on the secondary Connector on the motherboard. hope this helps kirk
