Problem with install of IE 5.5

I'm having a problem with IE 5.5 sp2. I recently downloaded it from a CD and whenever
I try to log into the internet I receive a Microsoft error saying that the product
needs to be licensed. Then the browers closes down. I installed IE 5.5 after have
a problem with IE 5.0. I kept getting the about blank, jimbutt webpage problem. Now
I cannot even get the browser to stay up. Can you assit?
