1. Contact Compaq if they can provide you a replacement (I doubt it), OR
2. Buy a used hard drive preferably the same type (not necessarily the same brand)
to ensure compatibility then copy all your data onto it. You can use the CD drive
cable if you are not comfortable in setting the master/slave jumpers. You will have
an identical backup just in case, OR
3. I have done this in Win 98 (not sure about Win95). Copy the windows installation
files (cab files) to a CD but you have to know and include your product key if you will
reinstall Windows. Of course you will need the drivers for your hardware - video,
sound, etc.
The # 2 solution may work best for you.
