I'll bet I can say "thank you," without fear of
contradiction, on behalf of Nick (as well as for
myself) for the Norton removal tips -- even though
this is "not a Windows issue."

I'm bookmarking your tips, because my Windows-user
friends regularly encounter this sort of problem. 
My Mac-user friends never ask me about things like
this.
