Hi Mike:

I suspect that the Win95 installation that was
done while the hard drive was in the newer
computer customized itself for that computer's
hardware, and when the HD was moved back to the
older box, it went looking for the newer
computer's hardware and couldn't find it, so it
gave up.

I would attempt to install the Win95 on the old
computer with its own hard drive in it.

Here are some tips for installing Win95 on
computers which have no CD drive:
