Hi Jim:

You might try Mike Lin's StartUpControlPanel to
see what's loading up when you boot.  It's a
stand-alone EXE file (when it's unzipped) that
does NOT have to be installed.  Just put it on the
DESKTOP and run it.  Give's you the options to
TURN OFF individual items.
