finding a printer compatible with Wiindows 95

My computer needs are simple since I'm 83 and have no professional needs. My Windows
95, a gift from my son, came with a Canon BJC 6000 printer. The printer has died,
and so far I've been told there are no new printers that will have anything to do
with the 95. I am currently without the word processor service of my system, and
am writing business letters in long-hand, not too good at my age. I also cannot print
out all the family pix that come my way, or the wealth of information I crave from
my computer. Do I really have to buy a new system to get my wordprocessor back ?
