I have Win 95 and I can't print on Windows XP printer

My problem is that , at work we have Windows 95 and we have printer attached to another computer with a windows XP OS . Every time we try to print we get the message " a system erro etc..... the printer will be set to offfline , " Every computer having windows XP in the department can print normally with this printer, but only computers having windows 95 or windows 98 cannot print. Can anybody please suggest me any solutions, I've tried a lot of things such as installing new drivers but to no avail. with thanks Dhanesh
