Hi Woolly:
How about the drivers for the PCMCIA CDROM? You
might try running the "install" program (if you've
still got it around) for that PCMCIA card.
I must tell you, however, I have had trouble with
PCMCIA driver installations. I don't know of a
good, sure-fire way to UNINSTALL old drivers,
which may be incorrectly installed or corrupted.
I had a driver installation fail on more than one
occasion, and re-installing the driver didn't
correct it. I think the installation program saw
remnants of the partial installation, and didn't
install everything anew. I posted forum messages
in several places fishing for tips on how to
uninstall PCMCIA drivers, and have yet to find a
way. Fortunately, these failed attempts have all
occurred on my "test" computer, so it was really
no problem to reformat and start over fresh. But,
that's not really the solution I would like to
find.
If you want to try reinstalling your drivers, I
can't think that it will work any less-well than
it does now.
