Hi, Jerry,
I think that this could very well be the case. Thinking back I have never played
audio cds on the drive - only through a jukebox programme I downloaded from the net
as I said which may got round the problem. I am pleased you said not to reinstall.
A little (in my case, very little) knowledge is a dangerous thing and I know from
experience that it all seems so simple until you try to do it, then 48 hours later
you are reaching for the paracetamol and swearing at inanimate objects and the machine
is still not working!
Now I know I have tried everything possible aside from the zero option, I will get
a gadget for the little one which he will love!
Until the next windows annoyance - best wishes to all. I have enjoyed this correspondence
very much and can now check device drivers and all manner of things I couldn't do
before.
Regards,
Joyce (Woolly)
