Hi Jerry,
Read this thread with interest, having the same problem although the machine was
upgraded to 98SE,
I followed all of your suggestions and ended up with the message 'Scandisk cannot
examine drive C'.
Am I correct in thinking this means the hard drive is damaged? and if so is there
any way of retrieving the data on the machine or am I now going to wish I had finished
transferring everything to my new machine!
Would appreciate any help at all.
