Thanks for your advice... Using a windows 95 boot disk, I've managed to get windows
almost installed. However, it's now not recognising my CD-ROM drive (a matshita UJDA120)
from within windows. The floppy disk had drivers on it which enabled me to access
the CD-ROM (as r:\) from the a:\ prompt when I boot from the floppy, so I could begin
the installation process from CD-ROM but once I restarted my computer in line with
the windows installation procedure, it would no longer recognise the CD-ROM. This
means that I can't complete the installation procedure because I can't copy some
of the necessary files. It also means that I don't have the CD-ROM driver necessary
to install the drive because this is located on my unrecognised windows CD-ROM!
I've spent a while now searching google for a matshita driver (think this is what
I need) but no luck. Am I going about this the right way by trying to download a
driver onto floppy? If so, does anyone know if there is a standard driver that will
work with this CD-ROM, since lots of people seem to be having difficulty finding
a specific matshita ujda120 driver.
