Morning Glenda,
100 pages of recipes? Holy cow!! The steaks just got higher. Forget the apple pie,
we are talking a nice big steak!!
Well... looks like your Word program will only "see" works files up to version 4,
and the program you used to create the recipe files is newer than ver 4. My Word
program only sees Works ver 3 and ver 4. You might try going to the MS website and
click around to see if there is an MS Works version 5 filter for MS Word. (I am
guessing that your Works was ver 5, and MS does offer (sometimes) downloadable filters
for file conversions. I will noodle around the MS site this weekend and see if there
is a filter. If I find something, I'll post back here. Otherwise, I guess you'll
have to open each file and format the text the way you want it.
If your old pc is up (the one you used to create the files), you could open each
file in the original program, and do file-save as works 4.0. Then, hopefully, MS
Word would open it correctly. Good luck, Don
