thanks so much for the reply and tips, ket me explain to you what i am trying to
do: i need to ghost machines, so, i am looking for a bootable CD that includes NIC
detection, so far i have a bootable floppy that work perfectly, the problem is that
it is slow and i need to run ghost, so, making two floppies is a really slow process
or running ghost from another location -network or CD- is making it complex, so the
best for me is to have just one CD where i can include bootable files and ghost and
run form here, it will make it faster. now the problem i have is that when i am booting,
i am including a statement in the config.sys:
[COMMON]
DEVICE=\net\pcidet.dos
DEVICE=\net\protman.dos /I:\net
DEVICE=\net\dis_pkt.dos
the problem here is that a this point the system is trying to write back to the CD,
so, i decided to create a virtual partition to use it, but how i can copy files during
config.sys execution? not when autoexec.bat is running becuase a that time is late
to load "devices".
thanks...
