Hi Bob:

The message is telling you that Win95 doesn't know
what application you want to use with the
attachment you're trying to open.

For example, if there is an attachment with a name
like "FOOBAR.DOC", you probably have an MSWORD
document, and Win95 would first start MSWORD, then
display your attachment there. Win95 knows to use
MSWORD from the ".DOC" extension.

At some point, SOMEBODY has to tell Win95 what
applications to associate with what extensions.

Can you tell us what kinds of attachment file name
extensions you can't open?

BTW -- It's generally UNSAFE to open attachments
to e-mails unless you know specifically from whom
they came, and what they are BEFORE you open them.

Do you know either?

Jerry
