I have an old Dell desktop that came with win95. A while back on starting it up I got a message saying it couldn't find win.ini, or some such thing. I found tips online to correct this so it would start up, but it was different than it had been before, so I decided to reinstall win95. I found my original win95 cd that came with the computer and started to reinstall. When it asked me for the product key to continue I was stumped. I had no idea where it was, and I cancelled the installation. I have since found my product key, but cancelling the previous attempt seems to have precluded starting over. When I power up it shows the win95 startup screen briefly, but then reverts to a dos prompt. Can anyone help me out with how to restart the install from my CD?
