Well as I suggested earlier.
What you normally need on your boot disk is Format.com you could also put Fdisk.exe
on there are well. When you format a drive it will tell you if there are any bad
sectors on the drive.
Fdisk.exe will remove the current C: or split the drive into different partitions.
It depends on how big your C: is. If you talking about Win95 then its an old system
with a relatively small drive.
If you wanted to do a full scan before you installed
Win95 then change to your CD drive and type CD Win95 (CD = change directory) this
will change to the D:\Win95 directory then type Scandisk C:. After its done a FAT
(FAT = File Allocation Table) scan you will be asked if you want to do a full scan,
select yes.
Don't forget if you do a format and a fresh rebuild you will need all the necessary
drivers e.g. Video card, Sound card, Printer etc

Scandisk is the first this it does before any setup wizard. It always does that whether
its Win95 or 98.
