TFTR Jerry. I updated the BIOS to #11, PC came with BIOS #5 on it. But I wasn't sure
whether it was necessary to do one update at a time or just go straight to #11 so
I flashed each BIOS update, one by one. I use a backup pwr supply with a "tested
full capacity battery" so the PC will be able to complete the BIOS update with a
pwr interruption. I did set the BIOS to allow the screen I want to appear, not Dell's
logo. But no time limit that I can find. My XP has the ability to set a length of
time for the start up screen. Maybe I can remove the PCI IDE controller I added to
plug the zip drive into. The BIOS displays that info properly, then I can see what
happens w/o the board.
