Have a look here:
PS/2 connectors are for use only by keyboards
and mice, and furthermore each of the two PS/2 connectors is color-coded to indicate
whether it's for a keyboard (purple) or a mouse (green).
PS/2 (male)-to-USB (female) adapters are for use ONLY with a USB mouse
that can function at the hardware level as a PS/2 mouse, or a USB keyboard
that can function at the hardware level as a PS/2 keyboard.
The first version of Windows 95 does not support USB devices, at all.
If the laptop has a later version of Windows 95 that DOES support USB devices, your
best bet would be to get a USB PCMCIA card.
And then, your biggest problem:
Windows 95 would need a driver for the USB Flash Drive.
Virtually all USB Flash Drive drivers start at Windows 98SE. It requires diligence
to find a even a Windows 98SE-compatible USB Flash Drive these days!
As far as I know there are NO USB Flash Drives sold that have Windows 95 drivers.
I would say that if you had plugged the USB Flash Drive to the PS/2 adapter,
then plugged that in to either of the laptop's PS/2 ports, that alone might kill
the laptop's motherboard/BIOS, or just the port itself (if you were lucky!).
