I have a similar problem and am unable to get past the password screen. I tried deleting the *.PWL file but at the windows login screen it makes me put in a new password again. At that time it seems like it is getting into windows, and within 30 seconds of doing so it starts rebooting the laptop (an HPOmniBook 5700CT). Any additional thoughts will be appreciated!
