What you are seeing is not a Windows Password but a BIOS password for the Gateway computer. To clear it you would need a utility from Gateway or possibly a call to their Tech Support to clear it. Another possiblity is to remove the CMOS battery for a while, if it has one or clear the CMOS with the jumpers on the systemboard, it should be marked. George
