Louis,
I never got the USB flash drives to work on this system. I ended up putting in a
network card and borrowing a laptop to transfer the files as Nathan suggested in
a PM. Beyond the two flash drives I tried, I used an SD card in a generic USB reader,
but that also did not work.
The detect and install route did not work for me for some reason.
I suspect that some of the specialized video hardware that I required was interfering
with the USB interrupts, but I never attempted to track that down as that hardware
is what I needed to use this system.
Sorry, but I don't know about the mouse issue.
