Have you tried leaving your system (boot) disk in the drive and then rebooting? It should start.

If your computer does not even see the "A" drive (when booting does the light on the drive go on?) then go into your BIOS and check your boot sequence. Floppy first then the Hard drive.

If you can access the floppy, but can not boot from it, it mean that the disk is no good for bootiing. Borrow one from a friend.

Next time you reformat try the followiing command

format c: /s

This command formats the "C" drive and puts the necessary system fles on it so you may boot to the "C" and not need the "A".
