I think from the sounds of it, you have a pirated piece of software (I'll wager a game) and the CD protection is what is giving you grief. A lot of software companies do this to prevent people who haven't actually bought the program from getting a friend to burn it and then run it. Some however don't do it which is why some of your CD's work and this one won't. My suggestion, buy the program.
