I have a question about finding, restoring or replacing the E: drive (CD ROM Drive) on my system. I downloaded some "free" drivers for my Sound Blaster system and along with those came a package that contained JUNK that "glommed" (technical term) onto my DOS 6 and corrupted the main E: drive. I say corrupted, but this virus type of entity seems to have "kidnapped" it! All I have left of it is an ID # and a serial #. The content of the file (drive info, icon, letter and the former physical position on the "tree" is gone. I accessed MS DOS to try retrieving it's memory and restore the application. All that DOS "coughed up" was a corelation to the serial # and "file not found". I am desparate to get up and going again. My livelihood depends on it! Please, will the first knowledgeable person to read this message contact me and help me out of this "jam" (I know, technical, technical,technical...) I remain, "Desparate and in Limbo, M J.
