Can I delete the same file types mentioned in the article that are located in other folders/directories? How about *.hlp files? Thanks

David, the .hlp files create the .gid files whenever help is used. Keep them. Files that are safe to dump are *.chk *.gid *.tmp *.old *.bak and if windows tour was loaded and you no longer want it *.avi. Also on your root or C drive, bootlog.txt and .prv and setuplog.txt can be deleted.
