Check the modem and see if it has a movable jumper that can be set for COM2 or COM4 which would then use IRQ3. Ifound the jumper on the modem and switched it.Now Com 1(mouse) uses IRQ4 and modem uses IRQ 3. Mouse works fine.Still can't get Com 2 or com 4 to work, but IIABDFI. Thanks again.
