I have a question about Stop Windows from Randomly Searching the Floppy Drive:

I have completed the 7 possible solutions to this problem with no positive results. Are there other possible solutions short of a drive reformatt?

Run regedit and do a search for RunMRU and delete everything in the right hand panel except Default.

Okay, thanks, so far. I've completed the delete steps mentioned below (3 lines) and the annoyance still occurs. I'll have the opportunity early this coming morning to spend on the PC. What step should I perform next? Thank you, DLE
