Question about 'Using .CAB Files'

I bought a new CPU and included my old hard drive to save all my old personel software. All is Win95. I have noticed that in Windows\Options I have all 19 or more cabinet files on my C: drive taking up about 96 MB's. Can I delete these cabs since they are on my origional Win95 CD . Taking up a lot of resourses! I know that I can back them up on floppies etc. and I might do so. But, Question is: Do I need these Cab Files on my hard drive for applications to export information for them to perform properly. Thanks Again, George

Yes you can delete them but you will have to use your CD for configuration changes. The presence of the CAB files under Windows\Options is for convenience only.
