Boot disk.. um isn't working!

Hey there, I am trying to boot my harddrive to run windows 95, and I am using a windows
98 created boot disk. When I put the disk in upon startup, the machine, particularly
the floppy drive recognizes the disk and seems to read it, yet no matter how many
times i hit any key, it says the same old thing. "Invalid system disk, replace the
disk and strike any key when ready." Crap. HELP someone.

This can't be happening! Turn your computer off, insert the boot disk in your floppy
drive and then turn it on. When it boots you'll see the A:\> prompt, now what do
you want to do?
...this is scaring me....

Somethins eather wrong with your disk or the data on it. What i sujest is create
a new boot disk. This can be done by going on a Windows 98 computer and clicking
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add Remove Programs >Windows Boot Disk > then from
there you can follow the on-screen instructions to create the disk. Its eather that
or the data on the boot disk is not compatiable with windows 95(which wouldn't make
any sence) causing that message to appear in responce to non-bootable files or structure.

No, believe me I have tried for hours at a time to get this shit going. As for creating
a new boot disk, I went to my aunt's computer that runs windows 98, tried that but
then I get this error message that says the Windows 98 CD needs to be here, and she
doesn't have one. Wow, I'm in a fix.

I have the same problem - invalid disk message, and I've tried about 6 boot disks.
Floppy drive is working fine - reads anything I put in.
I have been stuck for about three weeks with this problem, and everyone tells me
it is impossible for this to happen

When you make your boot disk, disable all unnecessary programs particularly
Anti-Virus programs. If you are using a known good boot disk from another
system, be sure that any BIOS Virus scanners are disabled, as this alone can
cause the boot disk to fail.

Depending on the configuration of your PCs, a Win98 startup disk might not work on
a Win95 machine. Why not download a boot disk for Win95, by going here:
http://www.techadvice.com/W95/S/start-up_disk_w95.htm
If your PC won't start using this Win95 boot disk, you may have a hardware fault.
The memory RAM, for instance, might be damaged, which would prevent you booting.
Consider - Why were you originally forced to try booting from A:\? What was the error
you were getting when you tried to boot from C:\? The clue to the problem may be
if you can't boot from C:\ or from A:\, as that would indicate a bigger problem than
a faulty boot disk.
Is your system set up to boot from the CD-ROM? That is worth a try, if you have or
can get a bootable CD disk. Windows 98 disks are I think supposed to be bootable,
and you say you have Win98, so try using your master Win98 CD to boot your Win95
machine.
But it does sound rather like a hardware fault.
