Hi i am a newly apponited system administrator, and need to enable MSN messenger to run off a few workstations. However, i have not luck in getting them to connect... MSN say that Messenger automatically detects my LAN settings, hmmmm i dont think so, otherwise it would connect right? I am running (Microsoft Proxy 2.0 Server) on the Internet server, i have also opened the outgoing port 1863, still no luck..... i am pleading for help...... how you can.. many thanks

If Internet Explorer connects through the LAN. MSNIM should also. However, are you aware there are several security issues with MSNIM?

still no luck in connecting :( , i have read a few articles of MSN security issues, but would be grateful, if you have any other links or information. many thanks
