Windows Won't Load

I recently reinstalled Windows 95 Update due to small problems I was having with
corrupted and deleted Windows files. When I rebooted my computer, "Starting Windows
95" appeared as it should and the Windows startup screen flashes on and off; but
it then goes immediately to C:\>. I have no idea what to type in to make Windows
actually load. Can anyone give me any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
