Question about 'Windows says it's ''Dangerously Low on System Resources'''

I have a question about Windows
says it's "Dangerously Low on System Resources":
Could being low on system resources in the way described in the article be the source
of my peculiar problem? Sometimes, when I boot, and click in a window, the window
deselects (the mouse then becoming inoperative). The only way to work, then, is for
me to use the keyboard commands. (Ctrl-Tab, e.g., gets me to different folders, etc.)
If I reboot--often enough--I'll get full control of the mouse, as I have now. But
eventually the same thing happens.
If this is a system resource problem, why does it happen on a cold boot?
Can I reduce system resources by clearing out the start up programs--and how do I
do THAT?
Thanks, Tom (Walsh)

Do you get that message, that it's low on resources? Is the problem mainly with the
mouse? Maybe it needs cleaning or replacing.
You could also try reinstalling the mouse drivers. Go into Device Mgr. and highlight
mouse, choose remove and reboot.

Right click the IE icon, click properties and delete the temporary internet and history
files. Reboot, run scandisk and defrag. Then go to www.95isalive.com and read the
Clean up page.
