I have a question about Connect
to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:
OK, I can see the computers on both sides now in My network places. How do I Map
one of the drives so that I can C:\xcopy *.* newdriveletter:\sharedfolder /h /r
/e /c /k the files from my 95 to my 2000 machine. I tried drag-and-drop. It is not
the answer.
I want to backup everything: hidden and system files, overwrite read-only files,
directories and subdirectories, reguardless of whether they are empty or not, continue
copying even if errors occour, and copy attributes of the files and folders as well.
I am at the windows 95 machine, when I try to map the shared folder on the 2000 machine
it asks me for a password. I don't know what to type or how to make it allow me to
either find, change, or not ask for the password.
Please help me either get past the password or, if it's possible, give me the address
layout I should use for the 2000machine so I can use the msdos command xcopy.
