In Windows '95 it won't allow you to uninstall the HotBar. Could you tell me how to remove this? Thank you

It doesnt come off of Windows 98, either, honey. They dont want you to remove it. Hotbar is Spyware and sends every url you visit to thier servers. Many private urls can be accessed without a password (ebay accounts, email accounts, msn photos, etc.) even though they "appear" to require one. I sent them a concerned email and asked for an uninstaller and they gave me another that appaers to work. When i find it i will email it to you - remind me: zygoteXY@yahoo.com (better yet, email them yourself) They are irresponsible IMHO...They also say there is a link on their site, but if i have to be online with it to remove it i dont trust them. So polite are they... they dont accept that spyware even exists. They think i am that dumb. i wonder if the original unistaller EVER works. After you use the uninstaller they send you or i give you, use the free and WIDELY recomended esp. on these forums "SPYBOT- Search and Destroy" from PepiMK Software to remove the rest that thier uninstaller missed. It might be all you need, can only help. I'll re-post if i find the uninstaller from them, but you have enough to go on in case i don't. I hope you remove it, because the nasty shell integration really slows down all of Windows. Blame Microsoft for that, in part. Must be real bad on an older PC. There are alternatives to Hotbar, ways to change wallpaper for IE toolbar. The Pest Patrol site has a nice mention of Hotbar, also. (PestPatrol's mem-check may not run well on your win95 PC but spybot will do fine for you, and is easy to install and use.) it does not interfere with virus software, it complements it. Unfortunately, this file is not longer available. Furthermore, I could not connect to hotbar.com at all. Does anyone have this file hanging around their PC? if so, could you make it available to those who need it? THANKS!
