Loader error 3.

I would like to know what is causing my w2k pro station to generate this error. When
it occurs I w2k says 'unable to load the operating system, contact your system administrator'
then posts the error "Loader error 3." So now I'm trying to find out what the error
means. After it happens I am forced to reload the operating system.
Thanks for any help.

Have you been able to fix your problem without re-installing 2000? Because I'm having
the same error

Hello,
I never found out what caused the error althought I had several possibilities but
I did find out how to prevent it. I found out about a freeware tool called
erunt which can be used to backup and restore your registry while windows is running.
I think it is a terrific tool. By periodically restoring my registry from a good
backup I no longer get the load error 3 messages. It's much easier to do than using
the install CD.
Hope this is helpful.
