Hi,
I am writing you this qestion because i really want to know if you can upgrade windows
xp on my computer. Right now it is Windows 95 and its really slow. I want to upgrade
it and get all the lastest stuff put on it but i can't do that with winows 95. Can
anyone please answer my qestion and e-mail me back about it. well, I hope someone
can help. talk to ya later.... Meaghan

Well that all depends on the computer your using, if its running really slow it might
not be the operating system (win95) it might be the computer. What year is the computer
and what kind of processor does it have(pentium1,2,3,etc...)and also do you know
the speed of the computer? If the computer is outdated it might not be able to handle
WindowsXP and if so you should get an up to date system.

I have a 20 gig harddrive with 266 meg pentium proc. and 256 RAM. I too want to upgrade
the OS but I'm looking to go to windows 98. I look forward to your response and appreciate
the help

A setup like that should work fine wth Windows 98.
I would lean toward doing a clean install. I've never tried installing 98 over top
of 95.
And look down here for a way to avoid having to apply all those updates to 98 more
than once, if you have a CD burner or a spare hard drive:
