Just started using Outlook Express. I can't send any e-mail messages unless name and address is in address book. What do I need to do so I can send mail to someone who isn't in my address book without having to put them in book? Or is this just how it works. I did not have to do this with other provider. Confused Larry

You should be able to type the email address in the 'to' box. If you can't, can you
say either what's preventing you (like its greyed out) or what error message you
get.

I can and do type in address, space is not greyed out. When I hit send a check names box appeares and shows no matches found and message is not sent. I can enter name and address into address book and message will go. Could it be an option in the setup? Larry
