I'm having a problem with IE 5.5 sp2. I recently downloaded it from a CD and whenever I try to log into the internet I receive a Microsoft error saying that the product needs to be licensed. Then the browers closes down. I installed IE 5.5 after have a problem with IE 5.0. I kept getting the about blank, jimbutt webpage problem. Now I cannot even get the browser to stay up. Can you assit?

Hi Bob:

You have the "jimbutt browser hijacker infection."
Until you get rid of the infection, no version of
Internet Explorer is going to work properly.

Have you considered a "safer" browser for your
day-to-day surfing? OPERA installs flawlessly.
FIREFOX/MOZILLA, while officially designed for
Win98 or later, can be coaxed into running on
Win95.

Thanks for the info. I have ordered SpyDoctor so I can load on my PC and get rid of the virus. Bob
