I had a calendar program on my old windows 95 years ago. I would like to have it again for XP - or at least a way to read the old *.cal files.

Why don't you find and copy the Calendar.exe of the Win95 CD and put it in your Windows
folder. Though I don't remember Calendar.exe being on Win95, it was on Win3.1.

Hi Steve:

From Microsoft:

"Cardfile (Cardfile.exe), Clock (Clock.exe), Macro
Recorder (Recorder.exe), Microsoft Schedule+
(Schdplus.exe), Windows Calendar (Calendar.exe),
and Write (Write.exe), which are included with
Windows and Windows for Workgroups versions 3.1
and 3.11, are not included with Windows 95 or
Windows 98. The functionality provided by these
tools is provided by other features included with
Windows 95 and Windows 98, or can be obtained
using various other Microsoft products.

"While the versions of Cardfile, Clock, Macro
Recorder, Windows Calendar, and Write included
with Windows and Windows for Workgroups version
3.1 and 3.11 generally function properly in
Windows 95 and Windows 98, use of the indicated
software on versions of Microsoft Windows that
they were not shipped with is not recommended."

YEP...I'm a chump. It actually was 3.1. In fact I believe it was on a 386 SX 16 and man was I rockin! The pc is long gone but I found an old floppy that had a *.cal file on it of my new born son's first couple of years of mishaps and adventures that I thought I lost. How do you think I could obtain a copy of the calendar.exe file that is able to read it properly?
