What is your free space and capacity on that hard drive, Jan? Right click C: drive and select Properties. It sounds to me like you are very low and need much more room. A second hard drive could give you that room and the ability to reformat and start over fresh. Is there more than one hard drive already? C, D, E, F? Sizes of all, please and their free space.

Required file MSVCP60.DLL error means that you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ version 6 files, not unusual to not have it in Win95 - so it's not so broken after all. Get it here if you have the room (1,791k).

Can you do file search on your machine for me? Use Find Files for file win95_28.cab, if found are there a lot more .cab files in the same folder? If so you may already have the equivalent of the Win95 Installation CD in that folder to reinstall 95 with.

Can you trade your Win2K for a second hard drive at the shop where you bought your Win2K?

My best buys were through the mail at
http://www.jdr.com
http://www.pricewatch.com/

JDR's $125 bare bones system typing right now, price has come up some since 1999 though.
