IMPOSSIBLE TO DELETE A DOCUMENT FROM WINDOWS 95

I cut and pasted an article from a web site long ago and since then, every time I open Word, the document appears. I must SELECT> Clear and then proceed to write a new document . I have tried every way I know to delete this. It is titled 1d08c5bfc6d0@news.ap.org. It is very "annoying". Can anyone help?

I have tried every thing I know to delete a doc that shows as doc 1 as soon as I open WORD. It is known as:1 d08c5bfc6d0@news.ap.org. I of course select it and clear and then go on with my work but the next time I open it is there. Very annoying!

It sounds like you saved the article as the normal template.

Read the article on this page, particularly "Troubleshooting Normal.dot", performing the steps described
