After loading a Windows 95 game from cd, my desktop appears as large out-of-focus icons and only shows about 25 % of desktop. Need to get my active desktop back. Thanks for help.

Hi Jay:

Try this: Right-click on a blank area of the
desktop, and select PROPERTIES from the pop-up
menu. Click on the SETTINGS tab. Adjust the
DESKTOP AREA slider to your favorite setting.

Thanks Jerry...I followed your instructions, however am unable to access full popup from settings tab, since screen only shows upper left quarter of screen. Also tried Display under ControlPanel, with same results. Could not view part showing the slider. Thanks anyway...........Jay

See if it will work in SAFE MODE. Tap F8 key once each second while booting until
the white-on-black menu appears. Select SAFE MODE, then try the DISPLAY PROPERTIES
again.

Good! "Games" and "Media Players" seem to be predisposesd to taking over one's computer
and resetting a lot of stuff (usually without asking permission) you might not want
changed. Just install (or upgrade) Windows Media Player or Real Player, and watch
them fight over the "file extensions" for all the media types they can play!
