cannot reload 95 from toshiba recovery cd

I formatted my hard drive on an old toshiba laptop (225cds pentium 133). I want to give it to someone - clean. Unfortunately, I cannot get past a password prompt when attempting to unzip the 225w95b file. I don't believe it is a bios or supervisory password - as I know these. I am the original owner - have all the windows certificate numbers, recovery and backup cd's - just cannot get the files unzipped using pkunzip.

If you lost the password and it is a *.zip, you are looking at the nearly impossible.

If you zipped it and are guessing likely passwords, be sure the password is in quotes
(" ") on the command line.

Another 95 CD should accept your key (maybe not an upgrade CD).

The CD is factory supplied with 4 zipped files : 225demo, 225fix, 225w95a, and225w95b. I have tried different parts or all of the key found on the windows certificate, but never with quotes in the command - I'll try that - thanks.

If it is factory supplied, boot from the cd's and let it run -- enter BIOS to enable
boot from the cd.

If you still need a password, look through tech support here:
http://www.toshiba.com/tai/support/support_cons.jsp

If you cannot find that model, look through a few manuals: I doubt they changed their
default password.

Try contacting Toshiba support for the password. First check FAQs, or other info
about your model of computer. If that fails, try sending them an email, including
model, serial nuber, etc.
